2nd Annual Backup Day today
Posted by ChefTD on Dec 31, 2004
A year ago at another site of ours we started an annual tradition. This takes place the last Friday of every December which we’ve designated the Annual Backup Day. Today on the Webmaster Cookbook show Jowl and I discussed backups and I showed him how to take care of some maintenance issues surrounding the computer he got for Christmas.

Show Summary:
ChefTD helps Jowl with having his normally energetic voice on the radio as opposed to the stony, quiet, hard to hear voice. Talk ensues about cleaning up a Windows computer by deleting temporary files, cookies and running the Windows system tool: disk defragmenter. Jowl learns about the basics of disk partitioning, the size of a KB (1024 bytes) as well as how to burn a CD for the very first time. Before show started browser screenshot:

Sorry about that Mark, it seems that the all critical extension “.mp3″ was missing from the download (and podcast) links. Thank you for pointing this out, it has been fixed.
