Show Summary:

ChefTD and Jowl discuss the first negative feedback coming through about the Webmaster Cookbook radio show. ChefTD tells Jowl that he shouldn’t take negative feedback personally. ChefTD explains how he feels the show would probably be improved if it was two twenty minute segments instead of three with the first segment being more of the how things are going with Jowl and building the website and dealing with the issues facing a new webmaster and the second segment being a webmaster-related how-to project/task. ChefTD also discusses a couple ways that they might be able to monetize the show so that it covers the bandwidth costs. Webmaster Cookbook is going to start putting secret backwards messages in some future podcasts to give away prizes to listeners as a way to reward the folks that listen to the show. Jowl visits Google labs and tries out the new Google Suggest. Jowl shows ChefTD how he has more people writing at the orting.com website. ChefTD comments on how gathering people to contribute to a website is something Jowl seems to be good at doing. Next, ChefTD shows Jowl how to deal with a security issue with Wordpress version 1.21 and some discussion over how to use Feedster to monitor Wordpress for issues. ChefTD tells the story of the worst office Christmas party and how they have no car [note: after the show, the mechanic had fixed the car, it was a timing belt problem]
