The Seattle Seahawks are off to a promising start after winning 3 and losing only 1. This year I hope to see them get to the superbowl.
Although I also want my favorite team to win, my favorite team is the Green Bay Packers. I will be rooting for both the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers to win.
Weird, alien voices in most recent radio show
Posted by ChefTD on Oct 11, 2004
At the start of show #10 there were some complaints from listeners about “weird, alien voices” and after just going through the archives I’ve got an explanation. The initial wrapup MP3 clip was encoded at a different, conflicting bitrate and when it was mixed live with the show, it made it sound screwy. The good news is that you can listen to the wrapup as it was originally intended — and not how it was broadcasted live — here. Listeners to show #10 will hear the show start with this weird, alien voices which in fact is the sound of mismatched bitrates. I’ve decided to leave this in as is, but for those new to the feed, please understand that once the show actually begins, you’ll hear normal sounding voices. It only impacts the wrapup segment.
I’m listening to other radio shows while working and I want to show a little link love:
Trade Secrets — Adam Curry interviews Dave Winer
Talk about a universal way to deal with auto subscribing to podcasting and improvements coming for the iPodder podcast directory. Categories can be managed via OPML outliner documents which Hans van Raamt shows how to do here and Adam talks about here. I’m thinking it would be cool to help out with the website builder category. Also some political stuff, including the European perspective on the recent Presidential debate. Personally, I didn’t care for the political part of the program but the rest was cool.
The Daily Source Code — Listened to two shows Friday October 7 and today’s show. My notes from listening:
Oct 7: Adam Curry, formerly of MTV fame, in his car, you can hear him buckling his seatbelt and other assorted noises and then he spins the famous Sniff n Tears song: Driver’s Seat — nice! He introduces a few podcasts while driving around in his car when a guy drives up and honks his horn and holds up his iPod and says he is listening to a podcast!
Oct 11: Adam Curry from Amsterdam.
I’ll add more radio show notes as I listen to them. Back to work!
