taking pictures

Posted by Jowlstar on Aug 13, 2004

Yesterday my dad and I took pictures of the town. We took pictures of the signs that were in Orting and we took a few pictures of the mountain. Then we had to transfer the pictures to the computer using a usb cable.

plugged the usb cable into the back of the laptop. Then we opened the shutters on the digital camera. The laptop soon realized that there was a new device plugged in so it brought us to a screen where it asked us if we wanted to print the pictures or delete the pictures or transfer the pictures .

We decided to transfer the pictures to another file. Then we opened the file. We had to decide which pictures to keep and which ones to delete. We thought that a couple of the pictures looked bad so we deleted them. Then my dad asked me to take another photo, so that i could do the whole process again. I think that I did well with the process. Then we opened a program called photoshop.

While in photoshop we were able to touch up pictures. My dad said lets make this picture smaller so we did. Then he showed me a cool way to delete a mistake if I made one. Then we had to leave so thats how far we got, the photoshop program I think is cool.

first show

Posted by Jowlstar on Aug 11, 2004

I enjoyed being on the show for the first time. My dad has alot of experience in making websites so he said he’d help me build mine. We discussed what a browser was, I was somewhat clueless but i then realized that i use a browser every day. Then we used a program that was recording the amount of mouse clicks i thought that was cool. I found that when i listened to my voice after the show i sounded way different. Then we talked about doom 3 we both thought it was a good game, but i strongly reccomend that younger people shouldnt play. All in all i liked being on the show and im looking forward to next weeks showing.
